about the resource

Smart Speed Cameras adds high-tech and realistic speed cameras around the map which can be activated by players on your server, combined with a flash effect and integrated billing. This resource comes with two types of cameras, static and average. Static cameras are the most frequent type, which activates based on the speed of the vehicle as soon as it passes by. Average cameras work over an extended road area, with two sets of cameras calculating the average speed of the vehicle based on the time it took to travel between the camera sets. This resource supports billing with society integration, making it the perfect way to keep speeding under control and reward your chosen society at the same time.

resource features

Two Camera TypesWe've added two different camera types straight out of the box (Static & Average cameras) which will catch drivers off-guard on your server. As average speed cameras become more prominent, it's time for them to be added to your server.
Flash EffectWe've added a brand new light effect out of the cameras, making players fully aware they've been fined. Additionally, a flash effect will appear around the driver's screen.
Billing IntegrationWe've provided integration for a wide range of third party billing systems straight out of the box.
Discord IntegrationWe've added Discord integration, meaning you can keep logs of any camera activations around the map.
Society IntegrationYou are able to have the fine paid straight into a society account for certain frameworks/resources, including okokBanking, qbBanking and more!

pre-configured camera locations

Smart Speed Cameras ships with 13 static cameras and 18 average speed zones already placed around San Andreas, so enforcement works the moment you start the resource. Static cameras catch a vehicle at a single point. Average speed zones link two cameras and measure the speed over the stretch of road between them.

The built-in cameras are just the start. You can place new static cameras and average speed zones anywhere on your server, in game, without editing any coordinates by hand.

1
Turn on developer mode
Set developerMode to true in config.lua and restart the resource. Only keep it on while you are configuring, with no regular players on the server.
2
Place a static camera
Move the camera into position and press Enter, type a speed limit, then size the detection area and press Enter again.
/createnewstaticcamera
3
Or build an average speed zone
Position the first camera, press Enter, then stand on the other side of the road and press G to set its ghost position. Repeat for the second camera, then type the speed limit.
/setcamerapos1/setcamerapos2
4
Restart to load it
New cameras are saved to locations_speedcameras.json or locations_averagespeed.json and load when the resource restarts. Use /cancelcreation to abandon an average zone.
